Let's go for a three-peat!

in 2099, after robo-nixon and trump clone-bud #219 are accused of taking too many donuts from the break room

We still haven’t had any articles that mention the emoluments clause, obstruction of justice, witness tampering/intimidation, mishandling of classified material, all sorts of legal-but-with-corrupt-intent shenanigans. Dems have been doing the bare minimum here to get the votes.

@dphiffer IIRC part of the criticism last time was too many articles and too much detail for most people to grok, so i can see the appeal of a single, clean (and obvious) charge.

@wjcstp totally, it makes sense. I just feel like there’s another implicit precedent being set that these other things don’t have real consequences.

@dphiffer I agree, i don't like the precedent of having a whole raft of arguably impeachable offenses go unaccounted for.

If only he had gotten a blowjob...

@dphiffer @wjcstp i'm glad you brought that up, because i was quite certain that some of the attempted coercion would be tacked on. buuuut, i guess house dems are just trying zip it along the rails as quickly as possible, and i guess it worked (ultimately getting ten republican reps on board). still, it would have been much more satisfying to see those glaring issues as additional articles.
