not familiar with the source material but I'm surprised fish and birds don't share a day with the rest of the animals, leaving humans with their own day
@y95 I can see why you would think that, but then again: Fishes and birds did actually come before mammals. So for a totally pre-modern and pre-scientific account of the beginning of man, I think Genesis 1 could be worse. There is a start of the cosmos in an instant (the light), the earth exists before the moon (altough the Sun should definitely be moved to an earlier day), and there is earth before the oceans form – all these are things I am surprised people believed at such early times. (Let me just add that I don't think Genesis 1 was meant to answer *how* things started, but more *why*)
