This photo was a week ago, on Thanksgiving.

My Uncle Steve passed away this morning with Susan by his side after several years of miraculous recoveries from ailments large and small. Cancer being the main one.

4 times iirc.

We all just expected he'd live forever.

He was among the kindest and most generous people you could hope to meet. He treated my aunt and her extended family as if they were his own and from the moment we met him accepted him as one of us.

He was one of the funniest people you could ever hope to encounter.

May his memory be a blessing.
