Old Yamaha or Peavey guitar? Those cutouts are too pointy to be a Fender. Looks like plywood, like my recent Danelectro bass purchase.

My guess is it was a Washburn bass, from the length of the horn and the hexagonal/octagonal-ish pickup routs.

@wjcstp @ardgedee It's a Memphis! They were one of the many "lawsuit" brands from the '70s that copied Fender and Gibson, often quite well. I'm guessing mid-80s because this one isn't quite a copy of anything specific and came with the eye-poker headstock, as was the style at the time. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki...
