my family back in Scotland have had a couple of pairs of these scissors my whole life (so late 1960s or before). Never been able to ID the maker, despite the "KB VW" crest. They're very slim and the blades have a lovely rounded profile.

Shame if they were to somehow come in contact with, I don’t, a rock

The top word looks like "rostfrei"
Which is german for stainless.
Unfortunately I didn't see any results for "schere" (german word for scissors) and the other search terms

They look like forceps

@y95 not while paper exists!

@joost Yes, it's Rostfrei, and they're stainless. I've seen some references to KB in Solingen, Germany as a cutlery manufacturer, but not with this logo. I think my grandfather may have got them as office swag when he worked in sales for a pneumatic tool company.

@poorusher They kind of do, but I can assure you, having received many home haircuts from them as a kid, they are not forceps. The general pattern seems to be the same as paper cutting/office scissors

@y95 Heehee
@poorusher To me as well
@scruss Could they be E. German and, therefore, defunct?

@0y3ahSansAcut3 could well be, but Krusius' logo was a gazelle
