It was a pretty good year for music, seeing Amyl, Cake, and Hiromi for the first time, all great in their own way. Magnetic Fields was fun but so low-key that we actually skipped night 2. Deerhoof was somehow even more at home at the Walker than the small club i saw them at last. Stereolab seemed re-energized in the wake of their new album. The Buck Fifty Boys are a country unit that i briefly played with in the mid-'90s, this was their first show back together in 27 years.
Just realized i forgot to include Oct 17, Neko Case, First Ave.
The band i'm in played 9 shows this year too, including 2 shows at all-time great local dive bar Palmer's, which closed this year after over 119 years at the same location.

Deerhoof at the Walker sounded like a fun night!
