What is the porpoise of all this?

I've spent some time this week scanning old photos and loading them to Flickr. I thought I'd share this one of my Dutch stepmother feeding a dolphin at the Jack Evans' Pet Porpoise Pool, or Dolphin Oceanarium, at the Snapper Rocks Sea Baths in Coolangatta, Queensland in 1965. (Queenslanders on here likely know of this spot.)

She's 20 years old in this picture. This is less than 1 year away from meeting my widowed father who, a year later, gave her a 2 year old (me) as a wedding gift. We haven't always had the best relationship but she's mellowed in her older years and we're pretty cool now. She turned 80 last November, so I'm preparing myself, however she's pretty active and astute so I think she'll likely outlive me!
