Remember, Special Prosecutor Jack Smith’s testimony to the house judiciary committee was released a few days ago ( https://www.youtube.com/watch... ) where he says, under oath, that he had dead-to-rights evidence that Trump attempted to steal the 2020 election. (And also theft of all those classified documents and hid them in the bathroom at Mar a Lago).
I've also heard some grousing that "distraction" is a poor word choice (because it implies the distracting act is of little consequence). I disagree with that reading. A hand grenade is an effective distraction from your unzipped zipper.
@neuracnu Is there a better word than distraction? Because I think it IS a distraction, as well as also a terrible, politically motivated attack. Feels like the pit in the center of the peach is that it distracts, though, no?
