went to an exhibit today, Childhood Classics: 100 Years of Original Illustration, in Libertyville at the Dunn Museum.

There were original illustrations from Maurice Sendak, Richard Scarry, Martin and Alice Provensen, and scores of others. What was most amazing was the small scale of most of the work, and the fine, delicate detail.
