Before & after clearing ice this morning

8:30am, in the light rain, cleared the ice off of the protective coverings on the dogwoods, and cleared a path in the yard so Macy the little old lady dog has a place to pee.
The towel on the front steps was less about ease of clearing them and more about the fact that even when cleared our stoop stays pretty slick, and the towel adds some helpful texture for traction. Here’s hoping the rain melts all the ice from power lines and when snow and freezing temps return we aren’t dealing with meaningful outages! 🤞
