This reminds me of the question I, and most likely many many others, have for the billionaire ass-kissing class: Do you think the economy will still be great when shitler has deported, jailed or killed all the immigrants, trans folk, people who disagree with him about something, etc.?
@wjcstp That, too (though I just assume I will never be able to retire), but my question is about Bezos and Zuckerberg and Tim Cook, etc, etc. Do they think helping the shitler administration will be good for their businesses in the long term? I'm sure as shit not going to be buying Apple products (I already don't support the other two) while I'm in a gulag because I said mean things about shitler's secret police actions.
I'm no evil genius but I imagine these people are just using the current system to make as much as they can while they can, off shore it, and then carry on.
Cook likely realizes Trump can flip a switch and destroy Apple's supply chain. But I have a hunch Apple has long been working on Plan Bs for if/when they need to abandon the US.
If there's any silver lining, we're still a nation of insatiable consumers. Despite Trump completely destroying our reputation on this planet, I imagine once he's gone (if that happens) countries will still want our consumerism. Maybe we'll finally be able to buy Chinese cars.
