don't think I've ever experienced ones big enough to be clearly seen by the naked eye. This was taken by my cell phone

I finally saw actual snowflakes a few years ago. I was shocked at how cool of an experience it was. I didn't even know they actually were visible to the eye. I thought you needed to use a magnifying glass to see them.
