Receiving an email from yet another professional society about investigating scientists & the Epstein files

While I realize that some of these associations with scientists may actually be innocent so some of the "investigating" is warranted, but so fucking angry at the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology for ignoring a problem for years that everyone knew about but was easier to do nothing only now to say jack shit with their stupid press release & town hall "addressing" the issue that I canceled my membership along with lots of other people.

Maybe I can't get my reps in Congress to do what's needed but can affect things on a local level at least.

It's mind blowing just how far spread the rot is and how many seemingly niche communities are being affected by all of this. *screams into pillow*
