Before.

On August 31, 2023 I, with the help of some very lovely people, moved nearly everything I owned* into a storage unit in Bellwood, IL. On Fri I packed it all into a rental truck and drove it back to Boston.
We flew out Thur morning, rented a car at O'hare, drove to Elgin to grab some of my stuff from D&E. Lake county for more odds and ends at Sunbear's house. Then to the city for my speakers. Out to Oak Park so Andrea could see my old stomping grounds(and we could grab lunch at Mulata).
Emptied the rental into the storage unit. Spent the night down the street in Elmhurst where Andrea got her first ever butter burger and frozen custard courtesy of Culver's. It was DIVINE.
On Fri morning we swapped the car for a box truck and 2 hours later it was loaded and we were out. A quick stop in Homewood to visit an ailing friend and we were on the road by 4:00. Made it east of Cleveland by 11:00. Left Cleveland 7:30am and were back in Waltham by 5:30.
So that's all that sorted.
Once I wade through everything and get organised(and rehearse a bit) I'm going to fire up a live stream and play some music...
It's been waaaaaay to long since I've been behind the decks proper. I am very much looking forward to that.
Stay tuned.
*While my Sonus Fabers are clearly visible in the center of the frame they did not spend 2 & 1/2 years in an outdoor storage unit. They have been tucked into a closet at my brother's for the duration. They were gently previewed last night and as soon as our neighbor leaves for her business trip we will show Andrea what they are really capable of.
