I’m pretty sure that it is based upon how stretched the distal areas of the radial and ulnar regions are. We should be able to see metacarpals before the laminator.

The more I look at it the more the legs seem off. Also the radiator back left seems to have odd foreshortening on it, and the plug cable seems too contrived.

Other than that this would be a very good idea to make in an analog way.
