part of Fig. 1 from Okuyama et al 2025, a paper about the convergent evolution of dimethyl sulfides in plants that attract gross fly and beetle pollinators by smelling like gross stuff. It is a cartoon of a hungry fly being enticed towards a Rafflesia, an Asarum, and an Amorphophallus by a putrid mix of sulfide compounds that smell like rotting carrion and poop. SEVERAL cartoon poops are featured.
