@jpoulos I don't know that I have a favorite song. But I can say that I've never been able to get tired of hearing this one.
Longish story about how much this song means to me: Back in the mid-90s, I moved to Seattle. Growing up in the boring and arid eastern half of Washington State, I'd always wanted to live in the greener, more exciting area, and I finally made that wish come true. I had just gotten married and we bought our first house, and I realized that I finally, really felt at home - a place of my own choosing. One night, feeling very happy about things, sitting on our couch, I noticed that I was digging a song that was playing on a promo on KCTS (Seattle PBS) (instruments only from the song's intro). The vibe of the beloved local channel, the fun imagery, my feeling 'nested' all clicked. That song was _this_ song -- I had never heard it before. When I tried looking it up later, and discovered that not only was if well-known, but it had lyrics, and "Home" was such a prominent lyric, and the title was, of course, "This Must Be The Place"... well, I was just amazed, and felt even more certain I'd landed where I belonged. (Of course I moved away some years later, but that's another story)
Saw him on tour earlier this year. The show is absolute magic.
