Lemon balm leaves fill the front of an in-ground bed of basil plants in my front yard. There are several knee-high basil plants behind them.

Lemon balm leaves fill the front of an in-ground bed of basil plants in my front yard. There are several knee-high basil plants behind them.
Just for fun I planted a couple little lemon balm plants at the end of the basil bed this year and they were doing ok until one particular rainy weekend and then they went bonkers and are happy as can be. Love the lemony freshness.

The basil’s “only” about knee-high at this point. Based on past years I expect them to roughly double in size.
