Looks like Lander's victory wasn't really in doubt; I'm not in New York but I look forward to seeing what he does in Congress! A real victory for "not being a dick can lead to good outcomes".

@jpoulos It was literally Bloomberg's "innovation": Most daily news is cyclical so they have staff write boilerplates for the most likely outcome. When one of the outcomes occur they copy the boilerplate, insert relevant information, and go to press faster than any other news media. They were funded by selling subscriptions to their proprietary terminals to Wall Street companies, and made Michael Bloomberg a billionaire back when that still meant something.
