Annual self portrait is a two-fer.

A purple and yellow daylily blooms in a terra cotta flower pot that has weathered the years poorly.

The daylily was bred by my grandfather and bears my name. The years pass and I, the pot, and my grandfather's grave age on. The daylily blooms afresh every year. And so it goes.
