I remember when this came out, the Summer when my best friend came to stay a few weeks with me and my father in a trailer in a KOA lot after I'd moved away. We went a store that had Pole Position and vented coins into it until Dragon Lair showed up next to it. Then we dumped coins into that until we realized a bunch of it was just guessing what they wanted you to do, or just hitting the button not right when it was prompted, but a bit before or after. We talked about how that was different but kinda the same as Pole Position in that way. We were both into DND from the pre-Advanced DND years, so we also talked about how it was bullshit from a DM's perspective.
Anyway I bought the game recently and didn't even get as far as I used to, even though I wasn't feeding quarters to it, and even though I didn't have to bicycle back to the trailer before my dad got home for dinner.
It was such a beautiful game... It was such an infuriating game. How many dollars did I pump into that, only to get a fraction of the way into the storyline, ever. Thanks for the playthrough.

I do enjoy the playthrough of it though
