Not every trip back to the mainland is sunrises and smooth sailing. The weather for the last week has been a ride. T/F/S including the holiday it was hotter than Satan's taint. On Fri we lost power, 7 brownouts and a full shutdown for 45 min from around 7:00 on. We closed at 8:30 as we were unable to accomodate most of our reservations.
Since late Saturday night it has been raining. Last night, right around the last half mile of my walk home, the skies decided to say fuck it and have not stopped since.
Heh.
I'm hoping things will improve by the time I reach Boston. Currently the boat I'm on is pitching worse than a third string reliever and packed with recovering revelers...
