I just love the quadrant names

I would not have marked Texas as being less weaponized than Vermont. I'm guessing this has more to do with the methods and age of the survey.

There are quite a few "Armed and Liberal" bumper stickers that roll around my town. Not that you need to be liberal to do yoga but I expect there's correlation.

@ardgedee VT resident here who has never been to Texas - I wonder if its the fact we're in the wilderness. I think (many/some?) folks have guns cause there are bears and coyotes?

@misslivie Maybe? There's a big hunter culture there (along with most of the northeast; I grew up in Pennsylvania for which deer hunting is such a thing that schools close for the first day of deer season in most of the state), which means a lot of guns are around whether or not accompanied by the stereotypical gun culture.
