for some reason, something in this photo looks not-quite-right, but i can't quite place my finger on it. like that slightly-disproportionate-stretchy oddness.
that said, i definitely have my own "laptop pile" at home with which i could recreate this whole progression.
@nikkuneko @gwint extra USB symbols around the ports, including the Firewire-ish ports. And I don't think Apple ever had a laptop with both FW400 and FW800 ports. Just one or the other.
Now that I think about it, I doubt Apple ever had a laptop with both Magsafe connector and full-size DVI jack, but I could be wrong on that one too. The
Magsafe arrived in 2006, the last full-size DVI on a Macbook is 2008, so there's basically just the first few Intel Macbook Pros. I'm pretty sure there weren't any who had Magsafe and full DVI on the same side of the laptop.
@bezt @ardgedee i had a (2006?) macbook pro that had a big ol' DVI port AND a magsafe IIRC, but i'll need to check when i get home. and yeah, i think it threw me because it was on the other (right) side of the machine; i think that whatever generated the images partly moved ports that were on both sides of the machines and mushed 'em together.
