"For a film shot in 1993 — when a lot of households still didn’t have computers — Jurassic Park contained a ton of them. The offices in the movie have everything from Mac powerbooks to high-end graphics-workstations and even supercomputers. Silicon Graphics donated $875,000 worth of computer equipment, Apple donated $350,000, and the filmmakers got another $500,000 of “additional hardware and software”.
