Paul Carter: 1 Second Revolution, 2004

a tall man dressed in black with a dark hat and face covering stands in a cobbled street holding a wooden sign.

Written on the sign, and giving off considerable smoke, are the burning words
"you're not alone"

Sorry for your loss, even one that's so far gone. It's a striking photo and now I'm curious to learn more about Paul's artwork

Randomly, my friend Naeem was in that exhibition in the source link.

@dphiffer some of Paul's work is still out there, but the online exhibits have mostly fallen away. A lot of non-theist questioning (both his adoptive parents were missionaries, and Paul spent a couple of years in Cairo with them), and some of the work is dark, but more is funny and silly. His widow also teaches art at college level, and she's been curating a lot of his work over the years.
