one of Romania's two nuclear plants, both shut down due to no water in the Danube.
This has major repercussions for neighbouring countries, as they were relying on Cernavoda for power. Romania has started burning lignite again (yuck) to make up some of the shortfall. It's serious:

(tho I do love to see wind turbines turning behind stranded nuclear assets. I'd like to thank British Nuclear Fuels for not giving me a job in 1992, so I went off and built gigawatts of wind power instead.)

They blasted some rocks that were in the way of intake flows last week, but that gave them about four days of operation.
