love the field notes option. Personally as someone TOO adhd, always with tiny notebooks and tiny pens and crumpled notes and sharpie on my forearm, I FINALLY found solution for me - one of these fancy modern smartbooks that's just black e-ink. I'm actually completely shocked it's been working out for me, but i've been 3 months without a tiny note in my pocket and I'm never going back. Likely not the solution for you, but DAMN when tech actually can solve a problem.
@minimumsafedistance it's awesome that you found a solution that works for you! i have been curious about those e-ink notebooks lately, as someone who does like actually writing notes with a pen (or stylus of some kind). which one did you end up getting?
@nikkuneko mine is the "supernote nomad", aka the smaller, 7.8 inch product from the company supernote, which is made in japan.
main reasons i went for it over remarkable, etc:
--modular/repairable. they sell their hard drive, batteries, and other swappable components individually so you can repair it yourself and it doesn't become obsolete.
--it works/saves no matter what, unlike the remarkable where you have to subscribe to their online service to properly save. it also has a generic set of synch options loaded already like google drive, etc, as well as kindle, tho i'm trying to stay off the amz services. i can save ALL my documents in about 30 seconds with one click bc of course their size is nominal. I currently have about 18 documents, mostly .note files which are their proprietary image/text document, but those can be exported as pdf, etc.
--pencil/stylus quality. they have various pencils, and many people report that the feel/accuracy of the supernote pencils is just RIGHT as opposed to competitors. now, i don't have comparative experiences vs competitors, so i can't say definitively, but i DO have like 40 years of drawing/mark-making experience from real life, and their pencil feels VERY good and tactile on the device.
the device itself runs about 320, but you're probably going to pay over 500 because you need a stylus and i wouldn't skip a magnetic folio because it's just so much safer and faster an prevents you from losing the 100$ stylus, lol.
