i’ve been listening to the album digitally on repeat since it released on friday. the physical LPs i preordered finally made their way to my door. (this is the "neptune winds" color variant)

such a dense, dreamy, heavy-yet-joyful album that deserves seated, attentive listening right at the turntable. i’m delighted at the amazing lyric booklet that accompanied this version of the album (see photos 2-3) as well as a punchy, dense vinyl master.

and yeah, the “glittery” finish on the disc does make for a little bit of surface noise but thankfully not nearly as much as i thought! it thankfully is sparse enough that it drops away when the songs kick in
