Last week I had a shower idea for an iOS Reminders.app frontend that won’t let you open app(s) of your choosing if you have any overdue Reminders. For a hot minute I considered vibecoding it or asking Marco Arment to add it as a feature to his Unforgetful app.

Kinda like that Brick NFC thing but for blocking mindless apps on your phone until you get on top of your list of todos.

Fast forward to iOS27 shipping today and being able to just describe this within shortcuts app - et voilà!

Download below. I’m sure it could use a bit of tweaking. I’ll probably add FB, Reddit, and this lovely place to it as well.
