I see there are a ton of different digital and physical botany flashcards out there, and those might be helpful, though the printed ones are spendy. However, what (very) little I know about the scientific names of plants comes almost entirely from watching videos from https://www.crimepaysbutbotanydoesnt.com/. The thickest Chicago accent in the world makes it a lot of fun.

Hey, I've had to memorize latin names for literally thousands of species for my job . . . along with being able to recall pertinent info about each one, which I imagine would also be a useful skill for you. If you would like some tips on how I did that I'd be happy to pass them along. (When I was taking my native plant & master gardener etc. certifications those skills enabled me to learn dozens of species in half a day during field trips and classes, so I feel confident those tips would apply.)
