also, oy vey, per that article: some time ago i had some rando add me as a contact on LinkedIn. every time he pops up in my feed since, he's posting insanely impassioned pleas to "free AI", spouting how he's "seen proof in chats" that LLMs are sentient beings. it's... yeah, wow.

also, i hate that i live in a town that has a huge agreement with flock (where even more maddeningly they've thrown much-needed revenue from cannabis tax into buying thousands of cameras). honestly some digital waterboarding / system overloading sounds good right about now.
