The Moonlighting theme song wasn't an option

Right? Carol King, Michael Franks, and other '70s light-rock stalwarts could have easily qualified for mine, also Dead Kennedys and Hüsker Dü. It's a more interesting (and frustrating) exercise than I expected.

The video for “Roof Garden” definitely made an impact on me

I had to go really quick and high level on this to avoid getting into the weeds, it could easily be an all-day project

if left to my own devices, i'd probably have nine top nines.

also, i dug up a copy of "lifes rich pageant" last year, first time i'd owned it in a long long time. my favorite REM album, i think.
