Slift at the Turf Club

alt text

Three piece rock band on stage with a swirling black and white video playing on a screen that fills the back of the stage.

Loudest show I’ve been to since Boris, and they’re sort of like that but psych rock and French. I got hooked on their earlier album Ummon but this was my first time seeing them live, hope they come back again soon.

That's saying something. Boris are right up there with Sunn O))) and Mogwai for loudest bands I've seen. I'll definitely check them out!

I saw a polka band there once, which was in keeping with the vibe of the place at that time.
