Used my leftover parts from the Marantz 2230 project to resurrect this old Pioneer SX-424 for a friend who just wanted something classy to put on a shelf. Nothing crazy here, just a reliable classic workhorse. Sounds fine. Looks slick. Just needs a little polish, deoxit and 3 in 1, and she'll do ya right. Sometimes that's all you want and that's cool too. Anything to keep the old stuff humming.
