Busted nixies

with the wreckage of an electronic circuit board behind them, two Nixie (numerical) tubes with smashed glass envelopes sit at an angle. The grids and number wires (6, 7, 8) are open to the air and very clear in all their extremely fine tracery.

Helped clear out the home of a late friend who was an early microcomputer nerd. I knew he had a lot of stuff, but I hadn't realized he'd gone complete hoarder. This broken desktop calculator PCB was salvaged from his former basement workshop, which had got too full to use.

He was a good man, well loved, and generous to all. It's sad to think he was living in a total mess.
